The "bricks-and-mortar" side of Kitchen Music Studios is located right in the heart of Riverdale in Toronto and is owned and operated by Steve and Kristin Briggs.

Steve has taught music for over twenty-five years, has been featured twice as “Best Guitar Instructor” in Toronto Life Magazine and has released two instructional CDs. He has performed, arranged and recorded with a wealth of artists including Sylvia Tyson, Quartette, Russell deCarle, Murray McLauchlan, Leon Redbone, the Brothers Cosmoline and Carroll Baker among many others. His popular western swing orchestra, the Bebop Cowboys, has garnered many glowing reviews and accolades across the country. He teaches because he absolutely loves it.

Kristin is the co-owner and manager of Kitchen Music Studios as well as manager, publicist and graphic designer for the Bebop Cowboys. When she “manages” to escape the office, Kristin is also a singer, performing and recording with local Toronto musicians.

​

Kristin and Steve are the parents of two fantastic young adults, Cameron and Duncan who, when asked, are proud to admit that they grew up in a music school.
